Here's the Scoop

WOW, only 3 more days left of 2014!

This year has been challenging and at the same time rewarding for our family in so many levels. We are grateful to have one another, for all the good people we have crossed paths, for the lessons learned, for our health and for everything that we have...and for what we do not have too!

Have a wonderful week!

Five for Friday {{12/12/2014}}

Hello friends,

I am linking up again with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! Click on the image and join the fun!

This week we did lots of Christmas and winter related activities.
These cute snowmen are adorable.....just a peek of our next week's celebration!

Also this week, I went a little crafty! Because this is when rains the most in San Diego, I made a game in which the kiddos toss a snowball through a snowman.

Using wine corks, my girls were very creative in making ornaments for our Christmas tree.

On a random note, this year the Girl Scouts will have a new cookie flavor, Rah-Rah Raisins....coming soon!

Our oldest daughter just had her braces removed, after 32 months! She received this goody bag from her orthodontist office....everything she wasn't supposed to eat - she's in heaven!

This week my parents celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary. They are an excellent example of a good relationship and partnership!

I have been researching for linear calendars. I decided to give it a try using these dollar store pre-made calendars. Stay tuned for my experience using linear calendar ;)

With the holidays, celebrations and everything in between,
I always get a little homesick.

I just can feel it! After been home for an entire week,
I can anticipate this happening to me!
It will be a long week, although I'm excited to see my kiddos again!

Really!? I ate so much turkey this week - before, during and after Thanksgiving!
And let's not get started on desserts ;)

Wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello friends,

I am linking up again with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday (or Saturday ;)! Click on the image and join the fun!

My students had a lot of fun playing some of my childhood favorite games, Perfection!

No matter how "ahead-of-the-game" you'd like to be, there's always something that messes up your plans ;)
At least my lesson plan for the first week of December is ready!

My Girl Scouts and I had a ton of fun during our monthly meeting.
We made bracelets, one to keep and one for a friend.
Now we are getting ready for cookie season!

I am happy with everything accomplished this week. Three IEP meetings, fire and emergency drill, Thanksgiving feasts, DRDP due dates, 8 parent teacher conferences, Secret Santa with my team, and Girl Scouts field trip!
It was a successful week!!!
The Thankful for PreK Giveaway will begin tonight! Stay tuned...
