Five for Friday {{10/17/2014}}

Hi friends,

I am linking up tonight with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday! Click on the image and join the fun!

This week was super busy; IEP meetings, Adapted PE, Earthquake Emergency drill, dental screening for my kiddos, and meetings with parents....but I wouldn't change a thing!

Here are the highlights our our week:

We finally began using our writing journals. I was so excited to be able to
find blank composition books for drawing and emergent writers. So far,
we have been practicing writing our names, numbers, shapes and
drawing of book characters.

We practice our names and letter recognition in a variety of ways.
With this special font, I was able to type their names and practice
fine
motor skills while identifying the letters.

I LOVE our Boogie Boards (generously donated to us by Donors Choose!). These adorable ladies practice the proper letter formation of the letter A.

I am in love with this educational app. Raz-Kids is a reading app for all reading levels that allows to read out loud, read-to-self, and record your
own voice while you read. Check it out!

I found these amazing witch fingers at my local dollar store. My kiddos are using them to identify letters, letter hunt, read, and even playdough.
Get your witch fingers and read on!

Keep learning!

  1. I love the writer's journals and that font you used for their names! Do you know the name of that font and where it can be purchased? I love fonts!
I think a trip to dollar tree is definitely in order for me this weekend - I have seen so many good ideas!
